African Wild Dog Totemby ~XianJaguar

Continuing my Woodblock Totem theme is this newest addition to the family: the African Wild Dog Totem.

This handsome fellow is part of a portfolio called "Totems: Patterns of Africa", which features four of Africa's notable animals with striking coat patterns - Zebra, Hyena, Leopard and Wild Dog. There are plans for more Totem portfolios, so if your animal Totem isn't featured this time, it will eventually down the line!

This piece is a 7" x 9" routered woodblock, painted with Acrylic Paints, Markers, and Wood Ink, and has glasswork tile embellishments in the four corners, which I added after it the pic was scanned in.

(The last portfolio in this Totem series was "Totems: The Elements" and featured North American animals: Coyote, Otter, Raven and Bear.)
